5 Best Websites for New Writers

This journey to publishing has been long and arduous. One thing I have found is that everyone has lots of advice and tips, but it can get quite overwhelming. I put together my top 5 websites that I believe have helped me to get a lot closer to achieving my dream of being a full time writer. I'm not there yet, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I downsized my career a lot to give more time to writing, but I wouldn't have been able to do that without the help of these sites! Enjoy and let me know what websites have helped you.

1. Mary Kole - Mary Kole is an editor. She writes about how to get a literary agent, how to query your novel, and how to write KidLit. She actually serves as my #s 1 and 2.

2. KidLit - Is for writers of children's fiction. This site offers lots of pro tips on the ends and outs of kid literature, and there are a lot.

3. Kindlepreneur - Kindlepreneuer is for authors who wish to self-publish. It helps by providing so many tools writers can use to market their books and actually make money.

4. Savvy Authors - Savvy Authors offers classes, pitchfests, and a blog to help writers hone their skills. This site connects writers with agents and makes the dream of publishing more attainable.

5. Writer's Digest - I actually really appreciate Writer's Digest because I love how it introduces new agents looking for specific genres. There are also articles by authors, editors and agents that offer a lot of great tips.
